What has changed?

Google has increased Chromebook safety & security measures for students, resulting in potential pairing issues.

Who is impacted?

This only concerns certain Chromebooks & Android devices and does not impact iPads or iOS devices.

How does the issue manifest itself?

Some Chromebook users may be unable to pair (i.e. connect) SAM blocks with SAM Space App using Bluetooth, unless Service Location is enabled on their device.

What is the workaround?

We are creating different workarounds which we will communicate with the community very soon. In the meantime, students can still carry out their lesson projects using SAM Space virtual blocks in the App.
